Thank you from the Student Voice team

A massive thank you to everyone that helped make this year’s National Student Survey (NSS) the most successful to date with a final response rate of 79%!

Congratulations to our main NSS prize winner from the School of Arts & Media who has £500 of Amazon or High Street Shopping vouchers. Students in the School of the Built Environment and Nursing, Midwifery, Social Work & Social Sciences won £250 and £100 prizes in our Salford Student Survey.

One student from every School has also won a special edition Student Voice hoodie. Look out for them on campus!

All students have been notified about their prizes by e-mail from studentvoice@salford.ac.uk.

A thank you message from Neil Fowler, Dean of Students, and Rose Angelov, USSU Vice-President for Business and Law, can be viewed below.

Here are some key response rate figures:

  • We have outperformed the sector where the average response rate stands at 68.3% against our result of 79.06%.
  • All but one Programme Groups have reached reporting threshold with many reaching the 80% target.
  • 96 programmes out of the 104 (with more than 10 respondents) met reporting threshold, again with a significant number meeting the 80% target.

Neil Fowler, Dean of Students said: “Gaining input from eight out of ten of our eligible students on almost every programme is significant as it means the results available to us will be truly representative and provide sufficient detail at programme, subject and school level to offer a clear  and detailed insight into student satisfaction across the institution and support work to enhance the student experience here at Salford.”

We’ll be in touch again in September with the results for the NSS and Salford Student Survey and details about what’s next for Student Voice.
