Student Nia has collection of poems published by world-renowned Bloodaxe Books

Congratulations to incoming PhD student Nia Davies, who has just had her debut collection of poetry All Fours published by Bloodaxe Books

. Nia, who is currently completing her Masters in Creative Writing here at Salford, has been editor of Poetry Wales since 2015 and has worked on several international and collaborative projects such as Literature Across Frontiers, Wales International Poetry Festival and Wales Literature Exchange. Her poems and essays have been published and translated widely and she has appeared in several international festivals.

Reader in English and Creative Writing Dr Scott Thurston said: “Bloodaxe Books is an internationally renowned publisher in the world of poetry so this is a fantastic accomplishment for Nia. To have one of our students achieve such success speaks volumes about our English programmes here at Salford. We’re all very proud and look forward to welcoming Nia back to Salford for her PhD this year.”
