Student Loans Company Warns: Beware Of Phishing Emails
The Student Loans Company is urging university students to be aware of phishing scams and not to reveal their personal details online.
University students are being targeted by the phishing email which leads victims to a fake website, according to Action Fraud. The email claims that Student Loans Company accounts have been suspended due to incomplete information. It therefore urges the recipient to update their contact details using a link which then leads to a fake website with the aim of collecting personal details.
Students should ignore messages that tell them to update or provide any personal, security or banking details. The Student Loans Company will never ask for students to confirm their information in this way.
