As you may be aware, a number of other universities have recently received ransomware threats. One university has unfortunately had to deal with an infection which resulted in them having to withdraw access to their F and V drives.
These infections often originate from clicking links in emails. Please remain vigilant and always be cautious when clicking on links in emails, particularly if you don’t recognise the sender or if the email seems suspicious. An infection is likely to present symptoms of unusual behaviour on F and V network drives.
