Last chance to take part in the Postgraduate Taught Experience Survey 2016

Only one week left to have your say!

The Postgraduate Taught Experience Survey (PTES) for eligible Salford PGT students is closing on Thursday 16 June 2016.

You can log in to complete the survey at https://salford.onlinesurveys.ac.uk/ptes entering your password and username details as follows:

  • Username: Your University ID number (roll number) including the @ sign
  • Password: Your date of birth as a 6 digit figure in the form ddmmyy (e.g. if you were born on 26 March 1985, your password will be 260385)

What is PTES?

PTES is your chance to share your experience of studying at Salford on a postgraduate taught programme.

The feedback and data from the survey is crucial in helping us to improve the Salford PGT student experience so please help us by taking ten minutes out to have your say.

PTES is a nation-wide survey, taking place at over 100 other UK Universities and Colleges involving over 72,000 students last year so your taking part also allows us to compare our results against other universities to see how we're measuring up.

Why should Salford PGT students take part?

This is your opportunity to provide in-depth feedback and share your experience of postgraduate study at Salford. Your responses will help us make improvements in the Salford PGT student experience and inform the sector.

It’s also your chance to win a £100 Amazon voucher! All participants will be entered into a prize draw and the winner will be notified after the survey closes on Friday 16 June.

How does it work?

It should only take 10-15 minutes to complete the survey.

The survey asks you a series of multiple choice and free text questions. You'll be asked questions about your course, motivation to study at postgraduate level and background. You are also asked to rate your agreement with a series of statements from 'definitely agree' to 'definitely disagree'. There is also a free text section where you can expand further on the answers you have given.

The answers will then be analysed to see where our strengths lie, where work is needed to improve things, and how we rate against other institutions in the HE sector.

How is my information kept anonymous?

All data collected in this survey will be held securely. Results are confidential to your institution, though your institution may choose to share or publish aggregated, anonymous results. All participating institutions have agreed not to identify any individuals when reporting their results internally or externally, and to use their best efforts to ensure that no individuals can be identified by implication. The full PTES dataset will be available to the Higher Education Academy and selected third parties in order to conduct national level research and analysis, and for legal/audit purposes. All results will be reported in an aggregated and anonymised form.
