Parking on campus made easier with new app

A new easier way of paying for your parking tickets has been launched on campus, allowing you to pay by phone for parking and secure tickets at more competitive prices.

The paybyphone app, which is available free from the App Store, Google play or Blackberry World, replaces the token machines that previously operated on campus.

Car users will be asked to pay on entry to all car parks, with the new day rates allowing customers to pay £1.20 for 90 minutes, £2.40 for 180 minutes and £4 for a whole day (9.00am-10.00pm). Alternatively, you can park on Farmer Norton car park for £2 all day or at the David Lewis (Wallness Lane) car park for two hours for free if you’re using the Sports Centre, providing you register with Sports Centre reception staff when you arrive.

Monthly and annual student permits are still available and you can find more information about these here.

Car users who do not own a smart phone, can pay by calling 0161 880 0100.

Please note: Lowry car park and Peel Car parks are designated for permit holders only.
