Over 70 students celebrate Christmas at annual party
More than 70 students enjoyed alcohol-free mulled wine and hot chocolate at our annual International Students’ Christmas Party.
Held on Thursday 22 December, this party was held for all those students unable to join their family during the festive period. In addition to the mulled wine, there was Christmas songs, decorations and, of course, free festive food.
During the afternoon of merrymaking and joy, students enjoyed a crafting session, where they made their own Christmas tree, and a challenging quiz hosted by Santa Claus himself! There was also a treasure hunt where attendees scoured the campus searching for clues, with prizes presented to the winners.
Mohamed, student of University of Salford, said: “I really enjoyed this afternoon, was nice to socialise with other students, get into the spirit of Christmas, and to take my mind off exams and learning.”
Maryna Loznieva, International Student Support Coordinator, organiser of the party said: “Our aim was to create a festive and warm experience and to give students a little insight into Christmas traditions and celebrations from around the world.”
To keep these merry memories alive forever we set a photo booth up where students could take photos with Santa. You can catch some highlights from the photo booth below.
