Peer Support New Undergraduate Students!

Starting at university can be an exciting new chapter in your life but for some it can feel a bit daunting.You might be a bit concerned about whether or not you’ll fit in, whether you’ll find friends or how you’ll cope with the work. To help you settle in, the University is piloting a new idea: mentoring circles.

Facilitated by two trained level 5 mentors, the one hour group session gives you the chance to meet up with other mentees every 3 or 4 weeks during semester one.

You’ll get the chance to share your experiences, both good and bad, and you’ll find out about how you can support each other. Following on from the session, you have the option to meet with your mentor on a one to one basis for further support.  

It’ll be a great group to belong to and you never know, you might find new friends!
