Manchester Student Homes to give invaluable advice on finding the perfect student house
Now that we’re well into the second semester, many of you will be exploring the private rental housing market ahead of the next academic year.
We know this can be a daunting prospect, especially for those of you who’ve never done this before, and we want to do our utmost to ensure you have all you need to make an informed decision – starting with our Manchester Student Homes information event on Thursday 10 March.
Manchester Student Homes can help you find safe and secure housing in the right place for you. They also offer invaluable housing advice on costs, what you should look out for on a house viewing and what you can expect from your landlord, making this a really good opportunity for you to ask all the questions at the forefront of your mind as you begin your house search.
On the day, they will be based in the foyer of University House all day and will be holding drop in sessions on more specific issues in the Faith Centre.
If you can’t make it on Thursday, there is lots of information over on their website here including an accommodation checklist, information on contracts on much more. For International students, they also have information on landlords and private halls providing a fair service to international students in regards to booking and contractual terms here.
You should also follow us on twitter @UoS_Studentlife, as we will be posting a number of tweets using the hashtag #HousingTipsUoS up until Easter offering you tips on making your house hunt a success.
