Learn a foreign language and improve your career prospects

Studying at the University of Salfordopens doors to a global network, but do you stand out from the crowd in an international market?

Companies operate over many international boundaries so the more foreign language skills you can offer – even if it’s just basic conversational skills – the more employable you will be in a post-Brexit working environment.

To help you develop these desirable language skills, Salford Languages offers University-wide language learning opportunities in seven of the top ten most important languages for the UK’s future – Arabic, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Mandarin Chinese, and Spanish.

Some undergraduate programmes offer 20 credit language modules, but all Salford students can learn a language as a not-for-credit course and the cost is just £150.  All courses are taught over the first two trimesters and most offer a choice of daytime and evening sessions to fit around your other commitments.

The language courses are a great way to invest in yourpersonal and professional development and open the door to new international opportunities.  Learning foreign languages and about other cultures is also an incredibly rewarding and enjoyable experience.

Classes start week commencing 25th September 2017, so please don’t delay booking as places are limited.
