Join the campus ‘Blackout’ and help us save energy

Have you ever fancied a night out with the lights out? Come along to Atmosphere from 5pm on Friday 10 March to turn off lights and equipment across campus and have a positive impact on the environment.

On the night, teams will audit all non-essential equipment that has been left on before the weekend and turn off selected items, before enjoying free dinner and drinks in Atmosphere Café.

Statistics will be collected after the ‘blackout’ and compared with the energy usage on a comparable weekend. This will then be used to encourage further energy reductions throughout the year.

If you are interested in volunteering then sign-up on Advantage by Tuesday 28th February, or email Neva Mowl on N.Mowl@salford.ac.uk if you have any questions.
