Got a great idea? Make it happen!

Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW) is the world’s largest campaign to celebrate entrepreneurship and this year they are offering YOU the chance to make it happen.

The annual week is your chance to connect to a global community of Entrepreneurs and this year, our Enterprise team will be celebrating the week right here on campus.

This year, as part of GEW, the Enterprise Team is putting on exciting events to allow you to bring your ideas to life: 

First off, the team have Business Boot Camp on Thursday 19 November & Friday 20 November to help explore your ideas.

During the Boot Camp you will get a chance to:

  • Pitch your idea for a chance to win £250 on the day!
  • Take part in a series interactive activities and workshops
  • Explore and develop your idea
  • Share good practice with inspiring entrepreneurs like yourself
  • Find out more about the funding opportunities & grants for your business

This is a great opportunity to get your business idea off the ground, so don’t miss out. The deadline to book on to the free event is Sunday 15 November, so click here to book onto the free event now before all the slots are taken up. 

During GEW, our team will also be available to talk to you over the week about the fantastic opportunities available at the University. Currently, the team have two fantastic grants available both offering you up to £1000 worth of funding. For more information and to discover how to apply, click here.

The fantastic opportunities don’t end there- we want to keep inspiring and helping you to realise your dreams and to do this, the team will be putting on events throughout November and December. 

One of these opportunities is our University Pop-Up shop at Eccles Christmas Markets. This is a great opportunity for you to test trade your items and make crafts.
