Faith Centre Community Opening

The Faith Centre will be holding a community Opening on Thursday 16th November 12-2pm to showcase its facilitates to our community partners. We are excited to be hosting religious VIPs including Catholic and Anglican Bishops of Salford and Manchester and Muslim faith leaders amongst other community members.

The Faith Centre has become a busy hub for student and staff faith activities for all faiths and none.  The centre hosts many student society faith groups and services for Catholic, Anglican and Muslim faiths on a weekly basis. The centre, located on University Road near the student accommodation, has a communal kitchen, separate kosher kitchen, social space, a quiet room for individual reflection and meditation and a multi-faith activities room where conversation cafĂ©, crafts and mindfulness takes place.

There is a chapel and Muslim prayer hall for services. Students are encouraged to make use of this fantastic oasis of calm amongst their busy academic schedules.

The very approachable chaplains are on hand for support and a chat. Take a look here to see what’s on offer.

Students are very welcome to come and visit anytime but if you are interested in attending the Opening please contact faithcentre@salford.ac.uk or pop in and speak to one of the Chaplains.
