Essential CallMy app will advise students during emergency situations
It is imperative that all students download the CallMy app to hear the latest updates in the event of an emergency.
The CallMy app is free to download from the App Store or Google Play and we are urging all students to download it now and enable notifications, and to encourage your peers to do the same. You will need to enter the password Salford when prompted.
The app is able to quickly pinpoint your whereabouts when an emergency occurs, helping us to get you out safely as long as you enable your location services.
In the past, we have used text messaging services to contact you, but this will now cease and the CallMy app will be the only way we contact you during an emergency.
On occasion, we will ask for a response but in most cases we’ll simply send a short message such as “the University is closed due to snow” which will pop up on your phone as a visual and audible alert.
If you have any queries, please do not hesitate to contact Head of Security, Trevor Jones or call 55264
