CEO of Anxiety UK to speak at new Psychology careers event
The CEO of Anxiety UK will be speaking at a new careers event offering students with an interest in a psychology and counselling related careers the chance to network and make new contacts with professional speakers and alumni on Wednesday 08 March.
Nicky Lidbetter, Anxiety UK’s CEO, will talk about her career route from graduation until now, give hints and tips on career success and answer your questions, while recent Salford Psychology graduates will talk about their time at Salford and their route to employment, offer advice for current students and answer your questions.
In addition to this, our Careers Consultants will also be on-hand to offer advice on interviews, applications and your CV. Book on to the event here.

4.30pm Registration opens
5pm: Welcome and opening keynote, Lorna Paterson, Psychology Programme Leader
5.10pm: The event will welcome recent Salford Psychology graduates who will talk about their time at Salford and their route to employment, advice for current students and chance for Q&A
5.30pm: This will be followed by notable professional guest speakers, including the CEO of Anxiety UK who will highlight their own route into professional roles, give hints and tips and answer your questions
6.20pm: Closing remarks keynote from Ilona Alcock, Employer Liaison Consultant
6:30pm: There will be a networking session with refreshments to ask speakers any questions Careers consultants on-hand to take CVs, give applications advice and interview techniques.
