askUS: All you need to know about our one-stop-shop for student enquiries
We know that some of you are new to the University. Have you heard of AskUS by any chance? If not, then listen up (or keep reading). AskUS is our one-stop-shop for advice and support, who will be there for you throughout your time with us here at Salford.
The main AskUS desk is located at University House on the Peel Park campus. However, MediaCity campus dwellers, we’ve not left you out – there’s a desk for you too, so you don’t have to come to main campus (although we’d recommend a visit now and then).
They can also be reached by email on email@example.com and by phone on 0161 295 0023, if you haven’t got the time to head to see them in person. If it’s the middle of the night and you have a problem then jot it down, they are very quick to reply to their emails. If you ring and there’s no answer then leave a voicemail, it’s a bit 20th century, but they might be able to answer you quicker.
AskUS are very knowledgeable; they have an answer for any problem you might throw at them. They can help with accommodation, learning support, budgeting, and religion, to name a few. No problem is too big, and no query is too small.
In addition to these, they also have a self-service section on their website here, specific advice services for international support, health and wellbeing provisions including counselling, diversity services and timetabling and exams. They also have a chaplaincy and faith service that hold regular events for people of all faiths and a number of free lunches! Check out what the Faith team can offer here.
Make sure you check out the AskUS website. There are loads of different pages full of information. You might find the answer to the question, you didn’t know to ask.
