A message from the Vice-Chancellor
Every one of us will be deeply saddened and shocked by what happened in London on 22 March 2017. Our sincere thoughts are with all those who lost their lives and were injured, along with their families and friends. We must also not forget the staff of our wonderful emergency services who responded so swiftly and professionally in what must have been a frightening situation, especially Police Constable Keith Palmer, who paid the ultimate price.
Many of our colleagues and students will have friends, family and colleagues living, working or visiting London and as such we are providing the full range of wellbeing and support services for any of you who may be affected by this tragic news.
Students can contact our Wellbeing service on 0161 295 0023 (Option 1, Option 1). Information about support available as well as online-self-help can be found here.
As a University, we take pride in our diverse student and staff make-up and strong social values, so we continue with business as usual, standing wholeheartedly with the rest of the world in solidarity with London.
