Tech Angels: Pitch Up Competition
Pitch Up is a business competition for University of Salford students and graduates, in collaboration with Tech Angels, a start-up accelerator and angel investment organisation based in Greater Manchester. Tech Angels are part of the award-winning Web Applications UK group of companies.
The winners of the competition will be offered investment in their tech start-up idea. Tech Angels are looking for a proposal that demonstrates a viable IT business with a low cost of entry, evidence of sound market research, and – crucially – an innovative idea that has the potential to make history.
The six most impressive start-ups will be invited to pitch live to the Tech Angels board at the Creative Entrepreneur 2017 event at MediaCityUK, competing for prizes of £1,000 for 1st place, £300 for 2nd place, and £200 for 3rd place.
The winners of the 2014 competition, Vinejuice, received seed funding and office space for their business. They are now the leading Christian media company in the North West, and have grown an audience into the tens of thousands.
