Ready, steady, VOTE: Students’ Union voting now open

This year’s Students’ Union election voting – in which five Sabbatical Officers will be elected – opened this Friday (4 March).

Voting opened at 9am and will close at 4pm on Thursday 10 March. All voting is conducted online via between 4-10 March.

Sabbatical Officers lead the Students’ Union and ensure you have the best time possible here at Salford.

This year, candidates will be running in five separate elections for specific roles of each of the school-based Sabbatical Officer (Business & Law Officer; Arts & Media Officer; Science & Technology Officer; Health & Social Care Officer) or for President. These officers will work full-time in the Union office to independently champion student voices.

They will work on securing positive changes here at Salford, and guide the Union on policies, events and campaigns that make a difference to your university experience.

You can meet all the candidates here:

Any registered student can vote in all of the elections, and the Union will be actively encouraging students to cast their votes.

You can find Union staff at polling stations all across the university campuses and residences, or ask any questions on social media at or @salfordsu.

The results will be announced from 7pm on Thursday 10 March in Atmosphere Kitchen and Bar, University House, and all students are welcome to join the party.
