Venues and Facilities
The United Kingdom faces an uncertain future in the struggle to fight terrorism as extremism is a problem without a panacea. Home grown terrorism and ‘lone wolf’ attacks abroad have put Britain’s emergency services on alert. Britain is facing an increasing threat, as the persuasive and powerful propaganda ISIS has been disseminating attracts more young British Muslims to support them.
New technology has to be harnessed in this struggle so our emergency services and security personnel are equipped to face all threats. The government hopes new legislation just announced in the Queen’s Speech, Counter-Terrorism Bill and Investigatory Powers Bill will also serve to diminish the threat from terrorism.
The Future of Counter-Terrorism Conference will give delegates the chance to explore the current and emerging themes, such as in counter-terrorism strategies. Delegates will learn how new legislation and technology proposes to degrade and eliminate terror threats the UK.
