What does cybersecurity mean to you, your patients and your organisation?
Following the WannaCry attack in May 2017, which affected hundreds of healthcare organisations across the UK, there has been a particular emphasis on patient data and cybersecurity. Disruption of the functionality of medical devices might potentially have consequences as significant as the loss of sensitive patient data or stolen medical records. The NHS has launched several initiatives since the attack, all in order to ensure the organisation is prepared to resist inevitable cyber-attacks and prevent them from happening in the future.
Once again, Salford Professional Development are bringing sector leaders and healthcare professionals to provide a solid foundation for innovation, collaboration and discussion on this very important public matter.
The themes covered will include updates from institutions at the forefront of national cybersecurity on current and emerging threats, initiatives and programmes launched in the NHS in order to increase resistance to cyber threats, as well as case studies and useful presentations from our technology partners. The day will create plenty of opportunities for networking and best practice sharing, and provide a platform for exchange of knowledge and ideas.
