Cooking is, without a doubt, one of the most important skills a person can ever learn and share. Once someone has that knowledge, that's it - they're set for life.

SALFOOD Cookery School has been set up, as we want University of Salford students to cook great food that tastes amazing, saves money and, in the long run, will help you lead a happier, healthier life. If you want to learn how to cook, our four week cookery course is a great place to start. You will be in a class of like-minded people who, like you, want to learn the core skills in the kitchen so they can cook with confidence.

If you want to focus on a particularly skills such as bread making, cupcake decorating then our masterclasses is an unmissable experience for enthusiastic cooks of all abilities. These fun, practical, hands-on cooking classes are the perfect treat for the keen amateur chef.

If we can’t get you in our kitchen, then be sure to attend our cookery demonstrations and learn from our chefs and ask them any questions you may have.

SALFOOD Cookery Course

Are you a first year student struggling to get to grips with cooking for yourself? Or are you a returning student looking to brush up on your kitchen skills?

SALFOOD are offering students the opportunity to learn more about how to cook healthy meals on a budget with our cookery courses delivered by the Salford Health Improvement Service.

You’ll make two new recipes a week, giving you real hands-on experience, and then sit down to eat what you’ve prepared – meaning dinner is sorted for the night too! This is a great opportunity to meet new people and have fun. The course is designed to boost confidence and develop students’ culinary skills and knowledge of cooking, giving them the ability, inspiration and enthusiasm to whip up delicious, affordable meals for flatmates, family and friends.

The course is delivered over four weeks taking place on Monday evenings 4.00pm-6.00pm.

To book a place please click here. On signing up you will have to make a £10 payment to secure your place which covers the full four weeks of the course.
