SPARC 2011

SPARC 2011 conference imageSPARC 2011 was the most popular conference held so far, attended by more than 180 researchers from all around the UK. Students represented Salford and several universities from Northern England (Manchester, MMU, Chester, Bolton, Cumbria, Liverpool, Liverpool John Moores, Sheffield, Sheffield Hallam, Hull and Leeds) and other parts of the UK (including Exeter, Hertfordshire, Herriot-Watt University, Anglia Ruskin, Buckinghamshire New University, De Montfort, Cranfield, Birmingham City, Warwick, Aston, Kings College London, Brunel and UWE).

The conference featured 27 parallel sessions of students presentations, grouped around 6 different themes: Arts, Humanities & Social Sciences; Built Environment; Health, Social Care & Social Work; Environmental Sciences; Science & Engineering and Business & Law.

This year prizes were awarded for the best presentations in different categories (selected by the organizing committee, chairs and co-chairs) and three best posters (decided by the conference delegates).
