Systematic Scoping Review of the value of trained library, information and knowledge professional

This project was a Chartered Institute of Library and Information Professionals (CILIP) commissioned systematic scoping review of the evidence on the value of trained library, information and knowledge professionals.  It was designed to provide evidence to underpin the policy making of the professional body and to provide library services with rigorous evidence of their effectiveness and impact that can be used within business planning or advocacy for the development and maintenance of library services.  The review provides evidence on the value of trained library professionals in the health, academic, school and public sector and the outcomes to which the librarians contribute. The review led to a further project and the development of a value and impact toolkit.
