    This 12 week course will build your knowledge and skills in evidence based interventions for children and young people experiencing a range of mental health difficulties and disorders and for working with their families and carers.

    Counselling and Psychotherapy for children

    This 12 week course will support qualified counsellors and psychotherapists in developing a critical understanding of the developmental requirements of providing therapeutic work for children. Also understand the nature and the impact of issues relating to social justice on the emotional well-being of children and young people and their access to and use of counselling or psychotherapy.

    Postgraduate Provision (academic credit bearing at level 7)

    Counselling for children

    Aimed at practitioners seeking to develop advanced knowledge and skills in psychological and therapeutic work with children, young people and their families and to meet the regulatory bodies (e.g. BACP) guidelines for providing psychological therapy and counselling for children.

    CBT for children and young people

    This module will provide you with rigorous theoretical and evidence based introduction to using Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapy with children and young people experiencing mental health difficulties or disorder.

    It will enable you to further develop cognitive behaviour therapy knowledge and skills for the practical application of working with children, young people and their parents or carers.
