This one day workshop, delivered by a Sony award-winning audio professional, will show you how podcasts work and how to make good ones which work as a brand content channel.
It will share market research on UK and international media consumption and look at how podcasting, particularly in a mobile phone era, can give you more impact than paid advertisement.
At the end of the workshop participants will get a resource tool with a guide to How to Podcast. They will know how podcast works, how to create them from the simple user online platforms like soundcloud and audioboom to adding their podcast to iTunes as a bespoke channel. They will know how to record and do simple edits and will have a sense of how they can use audio podcasting to assist their digital content output and their business and professional objectives.
Helen Shaw is a multi award-winning producer and is the MD/founder of Athena Media – a digital media production and consultancy company based at MediaCityUK Salford and in The Digital Hub in Dublin. She launched a podcasting company in 2006 and has run brand audio channels for companies including 02 and health insurers, Vhi Healthcare. She has mentored and trained a host of companies including newspaper and magazine businesses to provide brand audio channels.
She also hosts her own podcasting show called www.thefamilyofthings.com as well as audio channels for Athena Media. She has published and presented globally on digital media.
