Using high end post production techniques such as Blackmagic’s DaVinci Resolve grading software and Adobe’s Nuke and Autodesk’s Smoke packages, you will be given hands-on training in compositing software and use graphics and Green Screen effects to enhance your productions.
There will be a full day of hands on training in Blackmagic’s DaVinci Resolve colour grading software which will be led by a professional colourist working in the UK TV industry.

This course will provide industry editors with the ability to enhance their skills in film production by working on a range of sophisticated editing software systems. These practical training sessions will be delivered in conjunction with master classes from leading media industry practitioners.

There will be two days of hands on training in use of Adobe’s professional compositing software After Effects enabling you to see how you can enhance your videos with animated graphics and Green Screen effects.
There will be a day of working in the TV Studios at MediaCityUK with Green Screen technology and how best to import it into the edit for the most professional looking effects
Tutor - Fraser Durie
Fraser Durie has a background in post production and new media technologies for media production. Working within companies over the last twenty years has enabled him to witness the transition from analogue to digital technologies and the challenges that brings to the broadcast industry. He has worked in a number of media production and post production companies before taking up his current post in the University in 2010. He has taught internationally at the International Film and TV School (EICTV) in Cuba.
