Your CIPS Level 4 training programme
Classroom based study helps students build confidence as learners and you will benefit from the dynamics of being part of a group. With the classroom based option you will be given assignments and studies to complete to help prepare you for your exams. However, for students who are restricted by work and home priorities, we also offer CIPS Level 4 training as a Distance Learning option.
As a Centre of Excellence we operate at the highest possible levels of service and delivery for a CIPS study centre and our training costs are extremely competitive. Training costs are the only fees that you pay to us; you purchase your CIPS Diploma course books, book your exams and enrol for CIPS student membership directly through CIPS.
The CIPS Level 4 Diploma provides natural progression following successful completion of the CIPS Level 3 Advanced Certificate, but it is not essential to join this programme. You can enter the CIPS learning ladder at the Level 4 Diploma if you are a buyer looking to go into management or if you have at least 2 years’ professional experience in a purchasing, procurement or supply chain role.
Students must have current CIPS Student Membership and Assessment is via 5 x 3 hour exams. The required pass mark is 50%. Successful exams results are graded as Pass, Merit or Distinction. All CIPS Level 4 exams are scheduled in January, March, May, July and November every year. CIPS Student Membership, course books and exams must be booked and paid for directly with CIPS by yourself or your organisation before the exam application deadline.
As one of our students you can sit your exams at any of our CIPS Centres of Excellence at no additional charge.
For current membership, course books and assessments fees visit the CIPS website at www.cips.org.
Successful completion of the Level 4 Diploma provides a route for progression onto the CIPS Level 5 Advanced Diploma and finally the CIPS Level 6 Professional Diploma. On successful completion of the Diploma, Advanced and Professional diplomas and in conjunction with three years’ professional experience in a role of responsibility in procurement and supply, you may apply for full membership of CIPS and display the MCIPS letters after your name. You will also be invited to formally graduate at the annual CIPS Graduation Ceremony in Birmingham.
