Charity Regulation Conference
The collapse of Kids Company in 2015 provided a high profile case study of what can happen when charities are not run and regulated effectively. New technologies and a changing economic climate have dramatically altered the way charities operate, putting more pressure on organisations to be transparent about their operations and finances. The 2017 House of Lords report “Stronger Charities for a Stronger Society” emphasised the need for charities to demonstrate “good structures, processes and behaviours”. The pending introduction of the General Data Protection Regulation in May 2018 will also bring greater scrutiny of the way charities gather, store and use data.
Join us for the Charity Regulation Conference where our panel of expert speakers will reflect on recent development and what they will mean for the UK’s charities, community enterprises and voluntary groups. Understand how your organisation can protect itself from mismanagement and fraud, how Brexit will affect the regulation of charities and how to recruit and train skilled and reliable trustees.
