Salford Business School
Salford Professional Development and Salford Business School have a close working relationship in several areas.
We have worked in collaboration to develop exceptional training programmes to the Business, Media and Further and Higher Education sectors. The programmes are delivered by academic experts and industry insiders, offering a mix of both academic and hands on development.
Salford Professional Development is also involved in organising and promoting many Salford Business School events to increase student numbers across all post-graduate programmes, particularly the Salford MBA.
Salford Business School won the Business School of the Year title at the Times Higher Education (THE) Awards 2014. This was in recognition of its sector-leading work in supporting small and medium-sized businesses and offering students innovative industry experiences.
Cash for Kids
Salford Professional Development is proud to support Manchester based Cash for Kids as our charity of the year for 2017.
Cash for Kids provides a much needed helping hand to disabled, disadvantaged and vulnerable youngsters across Greater Manchester. All the money they raise goes directly to good causes in the local area in the form of grants to individual children, schools and community projects.
Salford Professional Development will be working with Cash for Kids to hold regular fundraisers and raise awareness of their outstanding work. We will be supporting several key events throughout the year including toy collections for Mission Christmas and the charity’s annual Superhero Day.
The University of Salford and Key103 have agreed a major collaboration to deliver training and professional development programmes at their state of the art MediaCity UK campus and Key103’s central Manchester studios.
Salford Professional Development and Key 103 offer cutting edge Crisis PR and Media Training. Bespoke media training courses are also developed to meet the needs of individual organisations. The courses launched by the collaboration focus on management and proactive positive media relations and delivered by Key103’s award winning journalists and trained professionals in reputation management.
Key 103 is a market leader in commercial radio, part of the Bauer Media Group, whose portfolio of brands includes 42 radio stations in the UK’s largest cities, TV stations including Heat, Box, Kerrang! and magazines such as Heat, Closer and Grazia.
The Pacific Institute
For over 30 years, The Pacific Institute® has been successfully helping individuals unlock their potential, and enabling organisations to transform their culture and improve business results. We are dedicated to creating a significant impact on the wellbeing, efficacy and leadership of the individuals, private and public sector organisations and communities we work with. In the UK alone we reach over 25,000 people per year with our education.
Working in close partnership with Salford Professional Development Ltd, The Pacific Institute have developed a number of courses, most notably the Leading through Change series, which is aimed at helping ensure that the workforces of organisations up and down the country are given the relevant tools and knowledge to become effective leaders through a period of constant change.
The National Education Trust (NET)
The National Education Trust (NET) is a registered charity, and is the UK’s leading education ‘do-tank’ with a proven track-record of influencing national policy and practice. The Trust is an independent foundation leading and promoting excellent practice in education. It brings extensive international and national experience to bear upon improvements for learners, from early years to university entrance.
The Trust assists education leaders and practitioners in sustaining success and tackling underperformance through an extensive programme of in-service training.
Salford Professional Development and the National Education Trust have combined resources to establish a Centre for Educational Excellence, based in MediaCity, Salford Quays.
IoD (Institute of Directors) and Salford Professional Development have partnered up to bring the North West a range of courses that have been designed by executive level business experts, including Director and the board and the full IoD Diploma. The IoD programmes delivered at Salford Professional Development have proven highly successful and over the years have welcomed Directors from companies including the Bank of England, Granada Television and Group4 Total Securities on to our courses.
Salford Professional Development also counts the 2011 IoD Diploma candidate of the year among its alumni, after one of our students outperformed over 260 candidates from across the UK to achieve the highest score on the course.
