Social policy research in the School comes together around the twin themes of citizenship and social exclusion.
Team members have a range of expertise in relation to:
- Social citizenship - especially conditionality and social inclusion exclusion
- Migration and welfare - including asylum seekers and refugees, labour migrants and international retirement migrants
- Housing and homelessness
- Gender issues
- Health policy
Our studies have been supported by a range of prestigious funders including the Economic and Social Research Council, the Joseph Rowntree Foundation and European Commission.
