Biography

Seán has been a lecturer in mental health in the School of Nursing, Midwifery & Social Work since 2004. He is a registered mental health nurse and a registered general nurse. His clinical experience and interests lie mainly in the mental health of young people in forensic settings. He is currently in the fourth year of his doctoral studies researching the experiences of young people with mental health problems in transition from child-orientated services to adult forensic services.

Teaching

Seán leads a foundation degree in CAMHs which is delivered at Wigan and Leigh college and co-leads the Nursing Practice and Decision Making module on the pre-registration nursing degree Programme.  Seán teaches across a range of pre and post-registration and post graduate nursing and multidisciplinary programmes.
