Biography

I joined the University of Salford in July 2003 as a Lecturer in Adult Nursing. This was my first academic appointment. Previous roles in the School and College include Strategic Lead for Interprofessional Education in 2007- 2008 International Link Lead (Pre-Registration) 2010 – 2012. I currently lead on Inteprofessional Learning, I am Project Coordinator of an Intensive Programme (EU Radar) with 6 other partners across Europe and USA and I Chair the group who deliver International Nurses Day Celebrations each year.

Teaching

My academic interests focus on Tissue Viability, Internationalisation of the Nursing Curricula (Virtual and Physical), Blended Learning , Inteprofessional Education and Working and Medical Ethics and Law.

I teach and supervise on the School’s undergraduate and taught post qualifying / post graduate programmes.

Research Interests

My professional background is in Adult Nursing. My current research interests and expertise include:  Blended Learning, Internationalisation, Tissue Viability, Medical Ethics and Law, Interprofessional Learning, Work-based Learning and developing the affective domain in nurse education.
