Biography
I completed my Diploma in Nursing at The University of Salford in 1998. Following this I worked as a staff nurse, primarily in children’s surgery at Booth Hall Children’s Hospital. Since then I have also worked as a Integrated Care Pathway Facilitator, Sister, and Practice Educator before joining The University of Salford as a lecturer in 2007.
Teaching
I teach primarily on undergraduate nursing programmes. I particularly enjoy teaching professional and legal issues in nursing. I am a Module Leader and Year 2 Lead. I am a member of the Fitness for Professional Practice Group, undertaking investigations a panel membership. I am also a member of the Academic Misconduct Group, undertaking investigations. I enjoy links with Oldham NHS Trust to ensure quality in the clinical placement areas.
Research Interests
I am currently working towards my PhD by Published works focussing on issues related to professional and academic conduct.
I am also particularly interested in working together with children and young people to inform and enhance the nursing curriculum.

I am a registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council as a Registered Nurse, Child (RN, Child) and a Registered
