Biography

Prior to joining the university in 2005 I worked as an orthopaedic nurse and as a Health Visitor. My academic interests are therefore eclectic but in the main I am interested in clinical skills, high fidelity simulation, health promotion and non-medical prescribing. I also support the international link with Fulda University in Germany.

Teaching

As I had an interest in pre-registration curriculum design and academic regulations, I applied and was successfully appointed Programme Leader for the September 11 BSc (Hons) Adult Nursing RN programme. During this time I have continued to teach on the Introduction to Adult Nursing and the Non-Medical Prescribing modules.

Research Interests

As I am completing my tenure as a Programme Leader this year, I will be looking to develop an interest in which I can begin to research.
