Biography
My nursing practice has focused on Childrens nursing and includes two Regional Childrens Hospitals and also District General Hospitals.
I have both children’s medical and surgical nursing experience, with the emphasis being surgical towards the later years of my clinical employment. I have experience in children’s cardiology and metabolic conditions.
I led the development of a service to clinically assess children prior to surgery and the provision of a nurse led pre operative assessment clinic. I achieved my Advanced Nurse Practice MSc to support this role.

I am currently a lecturer in children’s and young people’s nursing with an interest in advanced nursing practice and the assessment of clinical skills.
