Teaching
I teach across a range of programmes. My main focus is on learning disabilities, research and nursing practice. I teach at all levels of the academic continuum from pre-registration through post-qualifying and Masters Level to PhD supervision.
Research Interests
I am currently a member of the research group Children and Young People (CYP) and research within this group forms a major thread to my research. My interests revolve around the impact services have on the lives of difficult to reach or ‘troubled families’. I am also interested in how young peoples’ engagement with ‘risky’ behaviours is influenced by social norms and peer pressure. My final interest is in relation to men who have a learning disability who sexually abuse others.
