I have been a qualified midwife for 14 years working primarily on delivery suite. I was involved in helping to run skills drills day and also the Maternal AIM course regularly.

I am married to an anesthetist who works in one of the local trusts and we have one lovely little boy aged 2.

I became a lecturer practitioner in 2012 within the midwifery department and gained a full time lecturer post in July 2014.

I am a full time Midwifery lecturer in the midwifery department teaching 2nd year student midwives.

I also teach on the post graduate Preparation for Mentorship course twice a year.

In addition, I teach 3rd year student nurses about midwifery 2-3 sessions a year.
