Biography

I was granted Millennium Awards Fellowship in 2001 for two community projects in health and education. Subsequent employment was in the mental health sector working with carers. I still work with families in crisis within the welfare system.

Teaching

I began teaching at the university in 2006 working with undergraduates on the Social Policy programme. My areas of interest are disability, care in the community, carers, and older people.

Research Interests

My current area of interest is the student experience and support mechanisms for university life alongside discipline subjects. More recently I have been working on End of Life and Devolution from a policy perspective with colleagues.
