I am an adult nurse, with background predominantly in peri-operative care. My specialty is trauma, emergency and major trauma surgery, and until recently I was the trauma Sister in a local Major Trauma Centre. I have also worked as a nurse practitioner in surgical triage, and in Burns surgery. I have an MSc in Public Health, and have research interests in Global Health and Trauma surgery.


I am currently teaching on the C16 undergraduate nursing programme. I also teach on Public Health, Global health and Developing Evidence Base for Practice modules. e.g. bullet points of short summary of teaching / modules you lead / other responsibilities

Research Interests

My research interests are in global health, trauma surgery and safe surgery. I am currently in the process of applying for my PhD with the Knowledge for Change research group, looking at safe surgery training, asepsis, and iatrogenic blood transfusion in Uganda.
