I have been proactive in developing the following modules in response to service needs (reconfiguration of maternity services).

  • Examination of the Newborn
  • Emergency and Intensive Care of the Newborn
  • Care of the Compromised Baby.

I closely work in partnership with medical colleagues, such as facilitating the Newborn Infant Physical Examination (NIPE) National Conferences, in collaboration with the UK Screening Committee (medical, midwifery and nursing delegates attend).   Also assessing midwives theoretical and clinical skills in the clinical area (across all sites in Greater Manchester and Isle of Man).
