Biography
I am a senior lecturer in the School of Nursing. Midwifery and Social Work. I am employability lead for the School.
Teaching
I am programme leader for the BSc (Hons) children’s nursing programme.
I am module leader for the preparation for role transition module and cultural awareness globalization and health care in the BSc (Hons) nursing programme.
I am the year 3 lead for the children’s nursing field of practice.
I am a member of the child health team and teach across a range of module both undergraduate to post graduate modules from Level 4 to Level 7. My expertise in teaching lies in the areas of nurse education, mentorship and preceptorship, problem-based learning, cultural awareness and ethics and law.
Research Interests
I have recently submitted my PhD. The study aims to describe and analyse the experiences of newly qualified children’s nurses who are making the transition into children’s community nursing teams.
