School International Links
The School of Nursing, Midwifery & Social Work has had long standing agreements with universities in Finland and Spain for staff and students exchanges.
These universities provide the following for students and staff:
- An opportunity for a three month practice placement experience for students and teaching or research opportunities for academic staff
- Facilitation and organisation of hospital and community placements in mental health, child health or adult nursing in Finland and in adult or child health in Spain’s hospital Universitario Reina Sofia
- Access to library including electronic databases / books and information technology resources
- Facilitation and access to tutorials if built into an agreed placement experience
- Advice about the organisation of accommodation during a visit / placement
- Assistance with other enquiries about studying, living within the area and lifestyle issue
