One mentor for full placement.

- Pressure sores/ diagnosis, grading, treatment.
- Leg Ulcers/ diagnosis, treatment.
- Assessment and selection of pressure reducing equipment.
- Consultants clinics.
- New patients clinic-nurse led service.
What nursing model is used for planning care?
What core clinical skills can be learnt?
Dressing and technique, dressing section - appropriate dressing for wound, wound assessment, appropriate selection of pressure reducing equipment.
What additional clinical skills can be learnt?
Pharmacology re wound care, 4 - layer bandaging, Doppler assessment.
What resources are available to help students learning?
Powerpoint presentations, Library of wound care books/journals/articles.
What research and practice development activities are being undertaken?
Trial of short stretch bandaging and 4 - layer bandaging.
