What is organised for students on commencement of placement?

Orientation to the ward with Mentor and giving a student orientation pack

What are the arrangements for mentors/assessors?

Each student is allocated a trained mentor and encouraged to work alongside the mentor.

This is essential that they adopt a similar off duty. The associate mentors on the ward will also support the students.

To provide an individual, holistic approach to nursing in order to return an optimum level of health, comfort and independence to patients recovering from illness or injury.

We work in team alongside other members of the MDT. We aim to promote maximum personal independence and meet the needs that arise from increasing dependence with respect to the uniqueness of the person, their cultural background and religious beliefs.
