What is organised for students on commencement of placement?

Orientation and Induction by the assessor they are given a pack which explains about map of the area.

What are the arrangements for mentors/assessors?

The assessor is allocated with in the team, interviews are arranged with the agreement of the student and completion of their documentation is undertaken. Timetable for the placement is arranged.

Community teams work Monday - Friday and pose no problems for student placement.

What patient care situations are available in this placement?

Overview of community nursing supplied by District Nurses, health visitors, practice nurses, Midwives including clinic setting and home visiting.
