Tour of the Unit

Student off duty which shows the member of staff you are allocated to on each shift

What are the arrangements for mentors/assessors?

Student off duty indicates allocated mentor

What shift patterns are students allocated for learning?

Early:

07.30 - 15.30

Late:

12.30 - 20.30

Night:

08.00 - 20.00

Shift Notes:

Long days 12.30 - 20.30 can be worked if negotiated with the mentor

Each students negotiates their off duty with their mentor but must work at least 40% of their placement with their mentor

Additional Information

Interprofessional Teaching Sessions are held monthly on either the Royal Oldham site or North Manchester site.  Students at Fairfield Hospital can travel to other areas using the internal bus service

Onsite library and computer resources

Fairfield is a small, friendly hospital with a frequent bus service to Bury Town Centre where both buses and trams feed out to all parts of Greater Manchester
