The work of Salford Television and Radio students was praised by TV, Radio and Entertainment figures earlier this month at the BAFTARS (BA Film and Television Awards).
Hosted at the University’s MediaCityUK Campus, the BAFTARS saw 120 members of staff, students, families and industry figures, such as veteran BBC Proms Studio Director John Kirby, pack out the University’s Digital Performance Lab to celebrate the best of Salford’s Television and Radio students.
Coronation Street’s double BAFTA winning story editor and BAFTAR Judge, Kate Brooks, praised the creativity of the Television and Radio students.
She said: “All of the nominations are of a very high standard. I was so impressed by what you’ve all done. You are all so creative. It just blew me away”
Multi Sony award-winning BBC Radio Editor (North), Susan Roberts, added: “It’s fantastic; it’s like staring into the future. The production values, and the use of sound was fantastic and the subject range was really wide. I was genuinely impressed and you can knock on my door anytime.”
