To mark the launch of Salford Business School’s new home in the Lady Hale Building and the opening of a new Santander branch on the University of Salford's Peel Park campus, the University is delighted to host a very special Salford Lecture.
Lord Burns is one of the best placed UK business leaders to comment on the challenge of managing businesses through difficult times. Lord Burns has managed and led major businesses through both good and bad times, being at the helm of a number of companies at times of recession. He is now visiting the University of Salford to share his experiences and his thoughts about the strategies that business leaders must adopt in challenging times.
This is an essential event for anyone interested in the role of the leader in both large and small organisations which are facing multiple external pressures. Lord Burns will share his experiences, thoughts and advice, but will also engage in a discussion with the audience to consider the particular challenges faced by businesses and business leaders in the North West of England.
The University of Salford has joined Santander Universities, a global network of more than 1,000 universities – the largest higher education/business partnership in the world. Through this network, Salford staff and students will be given amazing opportunities to study and travel around the world, to engage and share projects with colleagues in other Santander universities and to benefit from internships and special projects. The University of Salford and Santander Universities have also agreed to work together to encourage enterprise and social business.
Admission to the Salford Lecture with Lord Burns is free. To reserve a place please fill in the form at the event registration page.
