Students graduating with various design, visual arts, animation, photography and video game degrees will exhibit their final pieces of work on all three floors of the University’s new state-of-the-art building at MediaCityUK.
Traditional art and design styles will be exhibited alongside work that showcases the advanced digital technology at the University’s MediaCityUK building. This includes the Digital Performance Lab - a unique black box theatre space enhanced by the latest in screen technology - and a wall of 120 separate digital screens that can display extremely high resolution videos.
Roy Chilvers, Director - Graphics & Media Division at the School of Art & Design, said: “This is a gathering of creative talent like no other, in a location like no other. The shows provide great exposure for students and a chance for the public to see the latest in cutting edge art and design.”
The free shows are sponsored by PZ Cussons. Brandon Leigh, its Group Finance Director, said: “We believe that our partnership with the University has given students valuable experience of working with real industry clients and the opportunity to develop essential skills for their future careers.
“We have been impressed by the creativity and innovation demonstrated by all of the students we have worked with and are delighted to sponsor this year’s degree show in recognition of their talent.”
